Free Operations on Locally Nilpotent Varieties of Groups

Summary: We consider decompositions, which are free in a zero exponent nilpotent variety of finitely generated groups such that their quotients by the commutants have no torsion. We prove that such decompositions are isomorphic, up to infinite cyclic factors.
